This statement explains how we handle the personal information we collect when you use this website, https://contractfoundry.co.nz. When we use the terms we, us or our, we are referring to the Contract Foundry, operated by Richard Best Law.
What we collect
If you register to use our services, we will collect some or all of your:
- name
- email address
- place of work, and
- phone number.
If you enter any personal information into our contact form, add clause form, or ask a question form, or your email address into forms in order to sign up for a webinar or obtain free downloads or other materials, we will also collect that personal information.
We use Stripe to process payments. We do not obtain or store your credit card information.
Why we collect it
We collect the personal information described above to enable us to identify you, to promote or provide our services to you, to answer any questions you may have, and generally to communicate with you in relation to our services and any other services we or other Interwoven Law members provide or may provide in the future.
You’ll be added to our email list automatically if:
- you’re eligible and sign up for free access to our clause library and knowledge base
- you enter your email address into forms in order to sign up for a webinar or obtain free downloads or other materials or complete a survey or obtain a CPD point/hour, or
- you pay for access to one or more contract builders.
If you use our contact form, you may elect to sign up to our mailing list. If you do, you’ll be added to our email list.
You agree we may send commercially-oriented emails to members of our email list. You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time (for example, when you receive an email, you can click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link).
We use MailerLite for management of our email lists. When you interact with an email that MailerLite sends at our request, MailerLite collects some information automatically about your device and your interaction with the email (and it uses cookies and other tracking technologies to collect some of this information). Who will hold it
We will hold your personal information. It will also be held on our behalf by our hosting provider, WPEngine (running on the Amazon Web Services hosting platform in Sydney, Australia), and email addresses in our email lists are held on our behalf by MailerLite.
Choice
You have a choice as to whether to provide this information to us. You can choose not to if you wish.
If you do not provide the information we ask for, we will not be able to create an account for you and you won’t be able to use our services.
Who will see it
Within our organisation, your information will be viewable only by those operating the service (Richard Best Law and anyone working for or with Richard Best Law who needs to access the information to provide the services or administer the website). It will not be viewable by anyone else.
Statistics
We collect non-identifying statistical information about visits to this site. Site statistics allow us to assess the number of visitors to different sections of the site, identify what information is of interest, monitor system performance and help us make the site more useful to visitors.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed in your browser by the websites you visit. They are widely used to help users navigate websites efficiently, to perform certain functions on the sites and/or to provide site owners with information about how their sites are used.
This website generates cookies for authentication/login and other site administration purposes. You can remove or block cookies (by using settings in your browser) but doing so may affect your ability to use elements of the site.
Security
Keeping personal information secure is important to us. We protect the personal information we hold through a range of measures. You can read about them on our Security page.
How long we’ll keep it
We will keep your contact information for as long as we require it to promote or provide our services to you and for a short period after you close your account in case you’d like to re-open it again. After that we will securely delete it. You may, however, unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link you’ll find at the bottom of the emails.
The information you enter into our contract builders is only retained for a short period of time. We have designed our services this way to minimise the amount of information we hold and the period for which we hold it. We do not retain copies of the contracts and other documents produced by our services and the data you enter to produce them is deleted on a weekly basis (or faster if you request).
Access and correction
